Ports, Port Botany Container Terminal is located on the northern shore
of Port Botany 12 nautical miles south of Sydney Harbour. At the
entrance of Port Botany, vessels can be alongside in as little as one
hour.
The facility has excellent road access as well as a rail
siding with links to inland New South Wales and elsewhere in Australia.
The facility has the latest in container handling equipment,
computerised control systems and has extensive reefer facilities.
The
terminal offers a full range of electronic business support to clients,
including electronic Customs release of cargo, Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI) reporting and web browser based information services.
WellingtonCentrePort, Wellington is superbly located in the geographical centre of New
Zealand, with a natural sheltered deep water harbour, convenient access
to the east and west coasts of the country, and positioned on the axis
of the Tasman and Pacific Oceans. These features make CentrePort New
Zealand's most strategically situated international port. CentrePort offers unrivalled nationwide access, boasting direct
connections to New Zealand's major highway and main trunk railway. Key
coastal shipping and inter-island ferry services are also located
within the port precinct.
As a result, CentrePort is the only New Zealand port able to offer delivery anywhere in New Zealand within 24 hours! Southampton
Southampton is the second largest commercial port in the UK and
boast a leading European container terminal with annual capacity close
to 2 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). Southampton typically
handles 18 deep sea container ships each week, the majority with
capacities between 6,000 and 9,500 TEU. In addition to the deep sea
calls, the port handles eight feeder vessels each week.
The city has excellent rail and road links to the UK and mainland
Europe as well as a host of specialist distribution partners to handle
logistics. RotterdamRotterdam
is Europe's largest logistic and industrial hub. The port is the
gateway to a European market of 450 million consumers. More than 500
scheduled services link Rotterdam with over 1000 ports worldwide.
Throughput in 2005 amounted to 370 million tonnes. The port of
Rotterdam is situated directly on the North Sea. The very largest
ocean-going vessels have unrestricted access around the clock, seven
days a week. The port has a depth of 24 metres (75 feet) and Rotterdam
has no locks. The many maritime service providers guarantee rapid
turnaround times.
